About me
My Story
Hello! My name is Jackie Smiley and I'm excited that you're interested in natural childbirth! It is truly a wonderful gift to give your child. I had my first intervention-free birth in 2011 with my daughter, Laila and my second in 2013 with my daughter, Hazel. I had my third and fourth daughters, Eden and Jemma, at home under the care of midwives in 2016 and 2021. I have been breastfeeding since my first baby was born, so for more than 11 years straight.

I am so excited to share this journey with you! I am incredibly passionate about natural childbirth and breastfeeding and believe that you will feel that excitement in my classes.

I hope you will allow me the honor to work with you and help you during this incredible journey to parenthood.
My Training
My Philosophy
The birth of a baby is a sacred moment that should be respected and supported. Unfortunately moving birth into the hospital has taken away some of that magic and knowledge. My goal is to prepare you for what a physiological birth looks like, how to avoid unnecessary interventions, and empower you to take charge of your birth and ultimately your parenting.
Learning how your body works during labor can help you work with your body. Having your support person with you as you go through classes helps you get on the same page a learn to work as a team before the big day.
“As first time parents, there was so much we didn't know and so many questions. I couldn't recommend a better place to go to learn about the birthing process and so much for after the birth as well. Jackie's class is the only class you will need to be and feel totally prepared for childbirth!” Lacey S.
Childbirth Educator and Doula
I received my training through the Bradley Method of natural childbirth and have held classes for dozens upon dozens of couples since 2014. I also have given birth naturally four times as well as breastfed my children. I have been a doula for over four years where I have been able to put my knowledge into action.
